Mozilla made available for download the release candidate for Firefox 3.5 (formerly Firefox 3.1), featuring enhanced privacy controls, and support for HTML5 and elements. TraceMonkey JavaScript engine has also been improved since the release of the last beta version and now it runs fairly faster. Standard features for most modern browsers are also present: Private Browsing mode, native JSON support, and geolocation are some of the most important, and to my humble opinion the last one is really interesting as it enables the customization of search results and web browsing experience according to your location.

So, I tested Firefox 3.5 RC1 under the Windows 7 operating system and I’m going to tell you about the way it behaves and integrates within this environment.

Note 1: Before I go any further I must to tell you that if after reading this article you decide to try this evaluation version of Firefox, you must remember that although Mozilla states that it is "stable for daily browsing", it is only available for testing purposes and it is not recommended for production deployment as it is prone to hangups and crashes, besides, plugins may not work in a proper way or even not work at all.
