Print File List With WinZip

Posted in PDF & Files, Tips  by Sunny

Sometimes we may need to print out a file list, contain all the files in the folder, file name, edit time, file size and file location… It is so boring to do that using common methods. With WinZip, we can do that easily.

First, right click the folder containing the file list you want to print, select "Add to Zip file", choose the location of the archive file and click "Add" button . In fact, this archive is only used to print file list, so we'll delete it after our printing. So, here we can leave the archive location as a default location and select "zip: no compression" to save time.

After a little while, the WinZip will show all the files in that folder.

Second, go to "Options" menu and select "Configuration" to open the configuration window. Choose "View" tab, check the information you want to print in the Columns part and click "OK" button to save your setting.

Third, right click in the main window of WinZip and select "Sort", then select the sort method of your files for your own need. I like sorting by path, so that all the files in a same folder will be closer.

At last, we can print out the file list after setting our printer. Go to "File" menu and select "Print…", choose your printer and paper size and click "OK".

Now, we have our file list with all the files and subfolders. If there are't too many subfolders or too long file name, an A4 Sheet can list 8 column file information.

Don't forget deleting the archive you just created! Do you always need to print file list? Download WinZip and print it easily.
