Google has introduced the new Chrome right-click context menu API to the developers in the official blog of Chromium browser. It said, since the release of Chrome extended system, the developers are in great need of the right-click context menu. Now this function is included in Chrome Beta-Chrome new beta version.

The new right-click context menu API allow developer to register menu items for web pages and to add particular items to menu, like right-clicking on a picture or video. Take, for example, you can provide a simple way for users to share pictures to Google Buzz, send to Bolger or Gmail. Some users may add a number of extensions. It will be crowded, if these extensions are all added to the right-click context menu API. To avoid this situation, Chrome right-click will automatically group the items from the same extension into a sub-menu.

In addition, Google has announced two more APIs. Omnibox API can make developers integrate with browser’s address bar. With this API, developers can custom search engine for your favorite website, keyboard macros to automate tasks and even integrate chat clients into address bar. Infobars API can add infobars to certain tab across the tops. This API uses normal HTML, so it can be customized and interactive deeply.

Google said today, the call number has reached one million after Gmail free voice service was launched less than 24 hours.On August 25, 2010, Google launched mail Internet telephone service. User can make calls directly from not only Gmail inbox, but contacts.

In order to enjoy this service, users should download and install plug-in of Google Talk, which supported operating system of Windows, Mac and Linux. U.S. Gmail users can not only make free calls directly from the Gmail interface within the United States and Canada, but make international calls with 0.02 U.S. dollars per minute. Recently, Microsoft has launched a new hotfix to complete the support to the hard disk larger than 2TB when the computer is running Windows7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. If you have this configuration and your operating system saves dump files to one of your hard disks, when the system crashes, you will see a Stop Code Error. Under this situation one or more hard disk will be damaged. What's more, you may lose your data.

In addition, when the computer is in a sleep mode and generates Hiberfile.sys, the problem mentioned above may also occor.More seriously, if the corrupted hard disk includes system partition，you can not start the computer again. Microsoft says, the problem is about the limitation of crash dump disk driver. The Diskdump.sys can address up to 2 to the power of 32 sectors, which is 2TB. If the hard disk space, in practise, is larger than 2TB, the driver will truncates the offset and save the data in a wrong location. That will lead to the corruption of one or more hard disks.

The number of this hotfix is KB2249857. It applies to Windows7 and the different versions of Windows Server 2008R2. After installation, the version of Diskdumy.sys will update from 6.1.7600 to 6.1.7600.20753.As a practice, this kind of hotfix will not be released publicly. It will be integrated in SP sometime. If you are in this trouble, you can ask Microsoft for help.

Mozilla will launch the Firefox 4 beta 4 On August 23，as well as beta 5. This fourth beta will add hardware acceleration and enable direct2D. Note that this function is off by default. Users should adjust to open it. It is used for making graphics processor tackle tasks which be shifted from the computer's main processor.
