iPad Flash Player App

Posted in Home & Education, Mobile, Reviews  by Eric

The fantastic tablets iPad and iPad 2 provide users great feeling of browsing experience. But users maybe meet problems while they are watching flash files. It amazes me why Apple did not ask Adobe for a flash plugin for iPad. Fortunately, there are some solution, but let me warn you, they are still no match for the standard flash support in case for desktop computers. With Frash in your iPad or iPad 2, you will have no problem about this.

1) Frash – Frash is a fantastic app for viewing flash on your iPad or iPad 2. How do you install Frash on your Apple tablets? The simplest way is to get the Frash.deb file from the link below directly on your Mobile Safari browser of iPad. Download it to your documents and install it with iFile.

2) Second most popular way is by installing an app called Skyfire from AppStore. This app costs 5 dollars.

So, Frash or Skyfire? Well, Frash is ARM flash plugin ported from other platforms. As a result, this option allows you to even interact with Flash content. On the other hand, Skyfire is good only for watching flash videos.

The most attractive thing is: Frash is totally free. On the other hand, Skyfire costs you some dollars and is limited implementation of Flash.

Last difference but certainly not the least is the privacy. In case of Skyfire, all the web data is processed on the Skyfire’s servers before they are sent to your iPad. While in case of Frash, everything is downloaded and processed directly on your iPad.

Update – We now recommend you to use iSwifter app. Compared to Skyfire, you can enjoy interactive flash content. Read the full iSwifter review to find more about it.

If you still haven’t noticed the importance of your personal financial management, you should pick up your pace right away to start. I began to track and plan my expenses when I was at college and I have tried several money control tools, some of which are good but too expensive, while some are poor, so I did my money management off and on. Once I tried My Home Software, I thought I found the right one. It is a multi-functional tool to help track and organize your finances.

As the name implies, My Home Software is powerful enough to manage the whole family’s everyday life finances. It is not only about keeping track of your spending, but also helps you calculate and plan about the loans and budgets. My Home Software consists of three useful tools Book Accounts, MHS Financial Calculators and Easy Print Envelopes, which can also be purchased respectively. Let’s look into the three parts one by one.

Book Accounts aims to keep track of all your checking, savings and credit cards. You can mannually enter your monthly transaction and reconsile your accounts easily. When you enter the information of your accounts, it will generate real-time pie chart or bar chart, from which you can see where your money goes.

Besides, Book Accounts offers a budget planner that you can set your budget for each category and take charge of them. A bar chart will intuitively show your budgets details and you will be alerted if the total remaining is below. The tab next to “Budgets” is “Bill Schedules”, which helps you manage your bills to avoid late fee. Book Accounts also has a calendar reminder that you won’t miss any appointment. After you set up your accounts, you can have a “Overview” about all your finance status in different catogories like balance, balance after credit card debt, etc. Book Accounts is really full-featured personal financial management tool that contains almost every part we need in money management. Editor's review - ReadWrite Chinese

Posted in Home & Education, Reviews  by Eric

Learning Chinese is gaining a popular trend nowadays. Numerous Chinese Learning Softwares emerge in the markets among which some is good and some is bad. And ReadWrite Chinese, I think, counts among those which are good. Its “Learning List”, subgrouping the totally 1000 characters, is a considerate design which excellently eases your pressure in learning the most difficult language in the world. And its systematical exercise design is, somewhat, a repetitious way to enhance what you have learnt. However, it also has some petty defects, like, it includes no audio files.

Installation & Interface:

The installation progress takes just a few seconds. And as seen from the below screenshot, the installation interface is very clear and fresh, two cartoon white leopards playing on the left. It also uses a lively way to introduce the software’s developer, Declan Software, in light brown font. Anyway, the carefully details-handling way wins some users’ favor.

Below screenshot is the small icon of the desktop shortcut after the installation is completed. It’s a lovely yellow star.

Preserve the Layout of Your Original Document with DocTranslator

Posted in Home & Education, News  by Eric

As we know, Google offers three ways to translate Office documents, they are Google Translate,Google Translator Toolkit, Google Docs. But they have some own shortcomings we may meet before. When you upload documents to Google Translate, the output of translated document have been turned into HTML format, out of the whole original document format. But using Google Translator Toolkit, the interface is a bit confused and has lots of bug. Google Docs also provides translation functionality itself, but it will also be translated and converted to HTML format by destroying original documents.

Today we introduce a new DocTranslator online service, you can upload a Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint can be), which the size is less than 500KB, then it will help you use Google Translate API to translate. Best of all, it preserves the layout of your original document, which will not change the format, fonts, tables, spacing, etc. And it supports translations to and from more than 50 languages. Just have a try.
