On Oct 15, 2008, Adobe launched the Adobe Flash Player 10 (10.0.12.36), code-named "Astro". Now it is available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
As we know, Adobe Flash Player is the high-performance, lightweight, highly expressive client runtime. And this time Flash Player 10 brought us many powerful functions and enhancements, including Creative Expression, Visual Performance Improvements, Rich Media, and other Community Requested Enhancements. OK, let’s see some highlights about Adobe Flash Player 10.
3D Effects
Fast, extremely lightweight, and native 3D effects make motion that was previously reserved for expert users via ActionScript or Open Source libraries such as PaperVision3D, Sandy and Away3D available to everyone. Create complex effects with simple code by nesting 3D-transformed objects inside each other. Inheritance makes it easy to rapidly apply changes across objects.

Visual Performance Improvements
Flash Player 10 builds on the dramatic script execution performance improvements introduced in Flash Player 9 with the new ActionScript 3.0 Virtual Machine (AVM2) by enhancing the equally important visual performance of your RIAs and rich media experiences. Leveraging the power of the GPU for blitting and compositing reduces the load on the CPU and can provide a performance boost to many graphically intense applications, resulting in more fluid, realistic and responsive user experiences.
Rich Media
Flash Player 10 introduces new audio and video features that will be available with intended future releases of Adobe Flash Media Server or other Adobe server products to optimize the delivery of rich media and enhance end-user experiences.

If you are a designer who works in Photoshop, maybe how to access all the tools you use the most as fast as ever possible is what you really need. You want to utilize Photoshop in your own way, although using keyboard short cuts is clearly the fastest way, it isn't as convenient as mouse clicking. Now Adobe plans to release a first version of Adobe Configurator at Adobe Labs once Photoshop CS4 ships. With Adobe Configurator, you can customize your own Photoshop, which makes it as easy as dragging and dropping to build your own Photoshop panels.
Some details had been disclosed already, although Adobe Configurator has not been officially issued yet. As the highlight, Adobe Configurator allows all of us to create new panels with simple drag and drop, let's share some samples together.
Tools Panel
All the tools are in the left palette and can be placed on the new panel. You can create in minutes a new tools panel. Once you have all the tools placed in your panel, you just only save the panel and then export the panel to Photoshop CS4.

Command/Menu Panel
As mentioned before menu access is not really fast. With Adobe Configurator, you can create a panel with just access to commands you use the most come in handy.

Scripts and Actions Panel
Maybe you have found calling scripts via menus slow and creating keyboard shortcuts via actions is also limited, for we easily run out of function key/modifier combinations and also forget them. But now all our key scripts are just one click away with our custom mew panel.

Say good bye to nested menus and tools, customize your own Photoshop with Adobe Configurator and make your work more effective.
