A Firefox App Store is Likely to Open Next Year!

In the coming 2010, Mozilla Firefox extend an Add-on Store, allowing developers to charge Firefox extension usages from users. Previously, In July of this year, Mozilla has launched a donation program for developers. Through that program, Firefox extension developers can get a certain amount of donations from users. For developers, this has been once the only one way to earn revenues in Firefox community. However, according to the latest evidences, in the coming 2010, Mozilla Foundation, will open a Firefox Add-on Store, which is called App Store, developers can charge users according to the Firefox extensions they used.

In fact, the idea to launch an App Store, to some extent, would promote the development by developers, and hold the Firefox enthusiasm well. Probably, some more amateur developers would think about to be full-time ones, as a consequence, the quality of extension, improves and strengthens. However, will this App Store satisfy all the users, developers and Firefox Foundation together?The answer is absolutely no. From free charges to the extended fees, these processes will more or less lead to sort of problems, such as the disparity between developers and ordinary users, and a low enthusiasm to Firefox.
