Make WinSCP Change Access Components Automatically

We have known how to trasfer our softwares or games from our computer to iPhone, and we found that we must change the access component of the uploaded file to make it be used well. Of course we can press F9 to change it, but if we want to trasfer many games to our iPhone, it's boring to do that every time we upload one file.

We can make WinSCP change the uploaded file's access components automatically through some easy settings.

Run WinSCP and login the iPhone session.Select "Options" from the menu bar and select "Preferences…" to open the preference window.

Go to the Transfer tab, you'll find a "Upload Option" part. Check the "Set Permissions" option and click the Config button to open the config option. Read the rest of this entry »

Trasfer Files Between Windows and Linux with WinSCP

Nowadays, Linux OS is more and more popular, but many softwares still can't run on Linux, so many of us must keep both Windows and Linux. But unfortunately, their document processing system are different, so if we want to share file between them, there will be some problems caused by different format.

WinSCP is one of the software which can run on both Linux and Windows and it can help us to adjust file format when we transfer file between Windows and Linux.

Using WinSCP to Transfer Files Between Your PC and iPhone

WinSCP is an open source free SFTP client and FTP client for Windows. Legacy SCP protocol is also supported. Its main function is safe copying of files between a local and a remote computer. It uses Secure Shell (SSH) and supports, in addition to Secure FTP, also legacy SCP protocol.

WinSCP can be used at wireless network, so we can use it to trasfer files between our PC and iPhone without any direct line.

First make sure that your have installed OpenSSH in your iPhone.

Download and install WinSCP and restart your computer, now WinSCP is ready for your iPhone. Go to your iPhone's Wifi setting page, select one wireless network, then click the arrow to enter wifi setting, note down your iPhone's IP address and restart your iPhone. Read the rest of this entry »
