An Early Look at Internet Explorer 9

Posted in Internet, News  by Yuki

As it is already proved, Internet Explorer 9 will be final on the stage in this March. After complete Windows 7 launch, now, Microsoft has laid its importance on another important components: Internet Explorer. Currently it has revealed the first details of Internet Explorer 9 in Log Angeles. Let's together get an early look on it.

Some details:
- On HTML 5: Microsoft was coy about whether it would support all of the HTML 5 standards, the next generation of HTML. The company doesn't seem willing to commit to the standard until it is set in stone, but "wants to be responsible" about supporting it.
- On Javscript: They admit that their previous browsers don’t match the speed of Firefox or Chrome. However, it appears that IE9 looks to narrow this gap. From some of the data they presented, it looks like they're getting closer to matching the other browsers (though they don't beat them).
- On CSS Support: It looks like IE9 will finally get better CSS support, especially for rounded corners. It's a disappointment though, when you consider the other browsers have supported these things for years.
- On Hardware Acceleration: IE9 will utilize DirectX hardware acceleration to improve graphic and AJAX rendering. It will push more work towards the GPU. This is actually looks pretty slick from first appearances.

Most industry experts believe that Internet Explorer is a laggard in terms of compatibility, standards, and speed. Microsoft seems to be working to change that with IE9.What to do now? There's no telling what it will be able to do. Waiting and expecting the Internet Explorer 9!

Orca Browser - A Passion of Web surfing

Posted in Internet, Reviews  by Manoj Goel

Orca Browser is another great creation of Avant Force Team. Avant force team is well popular due to their revolutionary creation of well known Avant browser. Actually Orca browser is a clone of Avant browser. It has all the features of Avant browser. The main difference between Avant and Orca browsers is that Avant browser is using the trident engine which is used by Internet Explorer whereas Orca is built on Gecko engine which is used by market leader Firefox browser.

Exceptionally Customizable
One of the best thing I like about Orca browser is that it is 100% customizable, more then my expectation. It allows me to show or hide any toolbar like: Standard buttons toolbar, Address bar, Search bar, Bookmarks bar, Add-ons bar, similar websites bar, Management bar and even window tabs bar. Status bar can also be switched off from view menu. Other then this it allows the user to switch the location of window tabs bar from top to bottom or vice-versa. In fact its all features are built of toolbars and all the toolbars are fully moveable, so they can be dragged to the desired location by using mouse. With a step ahead it allows the customization of each toolbar, so I can remove or add the buttons of each toolbar and can also change the location of the buttons on the toolbars. Posted in Internet, Reviews  by Lucas Artigas

Safari, the popular web browser for Mac OS X, is also available for Windows, with new design and incredible navigation speed. Starting with the development of the WebKit open source web engine, Apple has opted to implement web standards. Safari 4 includes HTML 5 support for off-line technologies and advanced CSS effects support, thus opening the door to a new category of rich multimedia web applications, graphics and fonts. This amazing web browser has passed the Web Standards Project's Acid3 test, which examines the browser's adequacy to the CSS, JavaScript, SVG and XML standards specifically designed for dynamic web applications.

Safari 4 includes Top Sites for a preview of the favorite and frequently visited pages, Full History Search to search the titles, web addresses and the full text of recently visited pages, and Cover Flow to easily come back to web history or bookmarks. Other innovative features include Smart Address Fields to automatically complete web addresses from an easy to read suggestions list; Search Fields to refine searches recommendations Google Suggest or a list of recent searches and Full Page Zoom for zooming in or out to any website without degrading the quality of site layout and text.

Another strength of Safari is its private browsing which is ideal for visiting web-pages leaving no record in the history or in the cookies and downloads list. Safari also takes into account the favorites and it can also be an excellent RSS reader. It also has the ability to block pop-ups, keep our form data and passwords and it includes a tool to access the code of the page we are visiting.

For further reading on its latest improvements check this article, and here for a full review.

Today I'm going to tell you about Safari's behavior under the Windows 7 environment.

It could not be otherwise, this Apple product was completely installed and running without hitches in an interim of very few minutes and in only four simple steps. View the Virtual World by the Eyes of Flock

Posted in Internet, Reviews  by Manoj Goel

Presently Flock is not so popular as compared to its competitors like Avant and Maxthon Browsers, who works on base engine of Internet Explorer, but Flock browser has enough features and capabilities to stand in front of its competitors. Also, it has enough attraction on its front interface to impress millions of eye pairs. It is not a complete alternative of Internet Explorer or Firefox as it works on the base engine of Firefox3. So, Firefox3 must be installed on the system to install and run Flock browser. It is much better if the latest version of Firefox is installed on the system for better performance and higher security. It works on Firefox engine but it is much better then Firefox itself, because it is providing all the features and security of Firefox in addition to its own bucket of features and security options.

Customize Its Style with Yours
Flock, as its name suggest it have a flock of features, but it is fully customizable so I can customize its style according to my own style. From the Customize Toolbar window I can remove or add various items or toolbar buttons from the toolbars. By using this window I can also change the position of various buttons on the toolbars.
